Pearl has been in our employment since January 2022. Pearl was initially hired to help my terminally-ill father comply with his medication regime, but she quickly became an invaluable and trusted source of support and strength to both my parents. Pearl clearly has real care, concern and affection for her clients that enriches but also extends beyond her business relationship with them. For example, we suspended Pearl's services for about a month while my father was in hospital and in the immediate aftermath of his death. During this time, Pearl kept in regular informal contact with the family, asking after Dad's health and sending messages of support to my mum. When she heard that Dad had died, Pearl came to the house to comfort Mum on more than one occasion, and she also supported Mum at the funeral. Pearl is currently supporting my mum two or three times a day, helping with dressing and personal care, administering medication and assisting with light household duties such as laundry. She is always punctual, keeps careful records of her visits and liaises with other family members as necessary. I am confident leaving my mum in Pearl's care and I have no hesitation in recommending her services to others.

Adopt Healthcare continue to provide an excellent level of care for both my parents. Since my father fell and broke his hip in November and had an inpatient stay of over 7 weeks, the care of my parents has become increasingly challenging. Whilst he was in hospital my mother became very agitated and challenging and this has continued to be so since dad's discharge home. Persuading her to accept personal care is a daily difficulty that the carers have to manage alongside my fathers deteriorated mobility. Medication is given throughout the day, and is every 3 hours for my father's Parkinsons disease. Meals are prepared and my father is supervised whenever he is transferring from commode to chair, bed or stairlift. More recently the carers have been working with the community therapist in order to learn how to support my father as he tries to regain his mobility. Throughout the day the care provided is given with respect and my parents dignity is maintained. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or need further information.

Thank you, Pearl and your team. It was an amazing time to have you look after our father after his discharge from the hospital. We are happy and delighted the way you supported him with his personal care and his dignity maintained. You were friendly, respectful and punctual throughout your time with us. We wish you good luck and willing to recommend your services to others in need of your service delivery.

I lost contact with my father (Keith Branigan) and only recently regained contact with him at the COVID- 19 outbreak. Since that time, my father has been diagnosed with having memory loss issues. The Memory Clinic and Social Services are involved and they suggested that he would require further daily assistance. Pearl has been extremely supportive with my father. She calls on him twice a day to administer his daily medication. Pearl has gained a trusting and very positive and friendly relationship with my father. When she first began to support my father, she immediately noticed problems and suggested ideas to help. One of the major issues was my father being very bad-tempered in a morning when she visited - she suggested putting an outside secure key-pad on the outside wall which has been brilliant and stopped me from worrying. Pearl has also suggested having a secure medication box so that my dad is unable to access the medication without supervision. Before Pearl started to support my father, I was constantly worrying because I live quite a distance from him and am not always able to visit him. Now, I am more relaxed as I know that Pearl will be there twice a day and will deal with any issues that may arise. As part of my father's illness, he is extremely forgetful and always losing things. I can't count how many times I have asked Pearl to help my father find his wallet and help him find his passport. On one occasion, had it have not been for Pearl, I feared that my father may have been lost and anything could have happened to him. Pearl was able to establish that my father was absent from his flat. She immediately raised concerns and then called the emergency services. My father was later found lost wondering the streets of Leeds. Another example of Pearl's professionalism is where my father was lost again in Leeds. He called into a shop and luckily managed to contact Pearl who was able to go and pick him up. I highly recommend Pearl.

The team have been very supportive to Owen on outings and going for food and walks and for someone he can talk to and trust. Owen enjoys the team as he does not open up to people but he enjoys the company of Pearl and the team and looks forward to meeting up with them. It's been a very positive role having this time with the team for Owen as it has helped build his confidence and socializing with others which has kept him stable in the community rather than just sit at home depressed and isolating himself away from people. I feel it has helped him massively whereas before he would just stay inside the house daily. I see his confidence growing, the team members are very patient and have excellent communication skills to encourage him.

Just a quick email to ask how you guys are all doing and to say a big thankyou for all the excellent care you provided to both my parents but especially more recently to my Mum after Dad had died. It was a difficult time but you and your team were able to keep mum on an even keel over those first few difficult weeks. Also it was so lovely to see you and all your team at the funeral which meant so much to my Mum and I. And thankyou too for supplying all that yummy food to contribute toward the buffet after! Mum is now reasonably settled in her new home down here in Sheffield. All the best for the future and please pass this on to the rest of your team. All the best.
